Hey Rodney!
Sorry for the lateness in the reply to your post, been pretty distracted lately & haven't really been watching the forum very much. I had to replace the radiator in my coach with an aluminum. The stock brass/copper radiator just wasn't producing enough cooling. When I had the coach refurb'ed the stock radiator was rodded and cored, so I know it was in decent shape. But it wasn't providing enough cooling for the hot Florida summers.
So, I went aluminum dual-core with mine. A nice little company called Be-Cool that I had experience with in the past that makes performance radiators. It fit nicely in the place of the stock radiator on my 89. Mine was a "blem" meaning it had been previously repaired and was a factory second. I saved a few hundred dollars that way. One that would be close would be the BeCool 66069, but you'd have to check the dimensions for your coach. I'll have to check to see what I used. Aluminum transfers heat very well, to improve things if I needed to I put a secondary electric fan in case more air flow was needed, for instance long periods of idling.
Here's the BeCool web site. They have a very good variety of radiators, seconds/overruns/blems/used can be found on EBAY as well. becool.com
On your thermostat, I used a 160F in mine with a overtemp lock. You want to run it as cool as possible, but you do need a thermostat in there to provide some heat. I had a 195 originally but I changed it to a 160.
Hope this helps. Eric
