The first and most important thing is to make sure that you do not turn the bolt with any kind of load against it. If there is load against it, it will strip the threads. The second thing you need to do is get a gear puller. the one shown in the photo is from Sears. Use the gear puller to push up on the pork chop, and take the load off the bolt, so you can remove the bolt and the nut plate.
Once both pork chops are dangling, unbolt the A-frame and drop it down. The spring will probably come out of the porkchop, but most likely will be stuck in the lower A-frame. Once you have that off, you can remove the spring from the A-frame...good luck, as it take a lot of persuasion to get the spring to "slide" out of the A-frame. It is not attached to the A-frame, but is probably rusted in place. Put the A-frame in a vise if you have to, so you can wiggle the spring till it brakes loose from the A-frame and will slip out.
As far as pressing the bushings out, they are pressed in and difficult to remove. I took my A-frames to a shop that does that kind of work, and had them remove them and press the new ones in. Cost a few bucks, but I did not have a press to remove the bushings. Then re-assmble the same way they came out.
How is your lower ball joint? if it needs replaced, you can replace it with one from a Hummer H1. Make sure the ball joint you are getting is from an H1 and NOT and H2/3. The mounting holes for the ball joint need to be enlarged, but otherwise it is a direct fit. The H1 ball joint is a much better joint than the original. It also has a grease fitting, where the original does not. You will need to install a 90 degree fitting, so your gun will fit in below the C-V joint.
