I have listed my 1984 King on RV Trader and have been getting a number of inquiries. Several have asked about the towing capacity. According to the manual (as well as the manual for my 1988), the weight limit is 2000 lbs. I have not towed with the '84, but did tow a Saturn coupe with the '88, and had no trouble. It came with the Revcon. The curb weight of the Saturn is 2388 lbs. Couldn't tell it was there. Has anyone else towed, what weight? I appreciate any info.

I have towed a Saturn SC2 behind my 1984 King for 5 years and have had no problems. It does have the automatic braking installed, i.e., the car automatically brakes when the MH brakes are actuated.

Yes, that has been my experience with the same vehicle, too. My prospect I think was put off by reference in the Revcon manual to 2000 lbs., even though the hitch accomodates greater than that. In the meantime someone else has told me he has a friend with a flatnose who tows a 20 foot trailer (weight not mentioned).
