Well, the winter break is over...my Revcon started in one second, I even didn' t have to recharge the front 12v battery. I just turned its main switch on. 8-)

First we took care of the problem with the Truma heater which showed a trouble code on its display: "Air intake or exhaust blocked".

There is an exhaust pipe inside of a black tube. The black tube has the function of an air intake. It was kinked, causing the heater to shut off. Now the Truma is working again.

Removing the old leaking gaskets. I didn' t find any new ones...I have searched everywhere. Vintage Trailer Supply, who were able to deliver fuzzy glass channel seals for the sliding windows in my Revcon, didn' t have that small ones for the outer side of the integral windows.

So we used Dekalin 8936 Dekaseal to create a "gasket". For this job you need a steady hand. The result looks like a real one. Let' s see how it works in a heavy thunderstorm...and I hope that the windows don' t start rattling.

I checked the space on the roof for the second AC Unit. I am going to take a Dometic 2200.

A Dometic 3000, like the one in the back over the bedroom, would be too big.

The adjustment of the passenger' s seat was broken. Now it can be turned again.

We mounted the vintage yellow fog lights (Bosch - Made in Sweden!) on the front bumper.

We removed the sofa in order to attach 3 seatbelts on its frame.

We are going to use the white power cord to get a power supply for the second Dometic AC unit.

Unfortunately a cat was able to climb into the open slide window on the driver' s side. It piddled on the sofa, but I was lucky...a marten would have been worse. :?

They provide some very interesting information, e.g. the use of aircraft aluminum (6061) for the exterior skin.

Some facts about the generators. By the way, I bought the 3500 i/o Pramac inverter three days ago.

It will need an anti-theft device when mounted on the slide out. My mechanic from Eastern Germany suggested a set gun. :o This was not a joke. During the Cold War he was responsible for the maintenance of the SM-70 on the inner German border. A very good man, but this is creepy. :?

I like the floorplan with the big bar option opposite the kitchen. I´m just wondering if the GMC Motorhome could be ordered with such a feature...

Well, in those days everybody needed a drink everywhere. Have a look at "DALLAS" (1978).

This show was heavily played in Europe. Obviously an expensive motorhome from the 1970ies had to be delivered with a kind of booze storage. There is also a small second bar between the swivel seats opposite the sofa. My Revcon is equipped with a kind of mini-bar, including a mirror and a brattice above the fridge.

Later models didn' t have the big bar option anymore.

What seemed to be a kind of dirty laundry storage in my Revcon is a vanity in fact. I didn' t know that. Please note the ashtray in the background. Smoking and drinking in a motorhome? No problem.
