I've thought about expanding the site a bit, however I just closed down a portion of it (the Revcon RV forum section) because, quite frankly I didn't have the luxury of spare cash to send off to a developer to repair, upgrade & enhance the forum system software. There are
a number of things I "could" do to improve the user experience here. I'd like to keep providing more sound samples from more Navy IC equipment for example. However, I do not compromise on quality. For example, if I want a sound of a Cowbell-style Navy IC alarm to sample,
I need one of the units to sample from. As you know, prices on these kind of units have skyrocketed over the past number of years. Now it's to the point that I can't afford the purchase price of the equipment from retail outlets nor the travel to hit the ship
scrapyards to procure the equipment (yes, I've pulled equipment directly off ships in the past, sounds are on the website from equipment I've acquired that's stored in my garage!). I am seriously considering adding a "for sale" page to the site so that if any
site viewers want a piece of equipment that I have they can procure it directly from me. No middleman. Being assured of good quality merchandise is paramount.
SO, HOW CAN I HELP??
If you like the unique content that I've provided you over the years for absolutely no work or effort on your part, maybe consider saying "Thank you" by sending me a dollar or two via Paypal. The site will stay running for the forseeable future as long as I don't have any unforeseen issues arise. Quite honestly I'm not made out of gold-press Latinum, anything helps & is greatly appreciated.
If anyone is feeling moved by what I provide on your behalf, your donation would earn my sincere thanks. I've always wondered if people do like & care about these eclectic files that I thrust out into the vast dispora of the Internet. I never have put up a wall or a comment section as those ALWAYS get overrun with spam in short order. But if you do have comments, requests, anything at all you'd like to say always feel free to EMAIL. Or, tag them into the Paypal donation comment box if you're sending anything via that method. But never feel obligated by any means.
Thanks for listening!!
